Travel Update: Amsterdam

'Some tourists think Amsterdam is a city of sin, but in truth it is a city of freedom. And in freedom most people find sin' - John Green, The fault in our stars

Whatever you want to call it, it was our next destination.

After missing our first train, we only arrived in Amsterdam at noon. It was cold and me and my sleeveless leather jacket and velvet dress had expected sunshine, so obviously I had to run to the nearest H&M to save my bare arms.

When heat finally filled my body again, we set off, exploring all the small souvenir shops, cheese shops, bakeries and coffee shops. Amsterdam is filled with beautiful old buildings and an endless stream of bicycles. We tried stroopwafels and some of their exotic cheeses.

Stroopwafels are two wafer biscuits filled with a caramel filling.

We decided to take Sunday off from travelling. And rest up for when we hit Amsterdam again, this time early and with a bicycle in tow. Gooi local
