Fashion Update: Velvet

I can't seem to pass a window shop display, without noticing something velvety. It makes some sense, after all it is perfect for winter and adds a bit of luxe to your average legging and jersey combo here in the cold.

After investing in a pair of studded gunpowder metal velvet leggings for myself, I decided to look up other great ways of incorporating velvet into your everyday winter look.

I bought these at forever21 for 15 Euro.

Forget your simple cotton shift dress, go one step further in a velvet shift, for cool and luxe.

No summer, no LBD? Not if it is velvet, add stockings and bright shoes and your set for a night out.

Be it classic black or a bold blue, a velvet coat is sure to keep you warm and looking right on trend.

Not to keen on going full velvet, why not try a velvet panama hat or gloves.

Velvet as seen on the runway.

Embrace the boho trend with these velvet bell bottom trousers.

Just add a black sheer vest and a leather jacket, perfect for a casual night out.

A simple and extraordinary way to wear velvet to work and after work drinks.

Velvet needn't be the usual boring black or red, spice it up with bright blue, purple or green hues.

This time of year, it is invitation after invitation, at least now you have a great solution to your 'what to wear to the end of year/Christmas party' dilemma.

No thanks necessary.
