Travel Update: homeward bound

My apologies, things got mixed up, I will post the travel update of Italy tomorrow, because the photos are all ready on their way to Cape Town, while I am still stuck in Doha for a stopover, trying to stay awake and not miss my flight home.

In conclusion it has been three weeks, six countries, five different means of transportation, four foreign languages, hundred and seventy kilometers of walking, hundreds and thousands of kilometers of travel, getting lost and missing trains - to many times to count, a birthday and the ultimate best travelling partner.

I am on my way back to South Africa - travelling on my own this time and it is no fun, rather sad actually. I will miss paying four euro for a coffee and trying to communicate via sign language, but mostly I will miss my travelling partner.

Salute Robert Nel, as only the French can.
And Europe - if life treats me well, I will see you again in two months, so prepare yourself, because I want a white Christmas.

Take care

'Bind me not to the pasture
Chain me not to the plow
set me free to find my calling
And I'll return to you somehow
If you find it's me your missing
If you're hoping I'll return
i'll be homeward bound in time' - Homeward bound, Simon and Garfunkel
